Married mother of three homeschooled daughters, we now live in S. Texas, in the borderlands with Mexico. My husband was born in the Dominican Republic and his first language was Spanish. Our family sojourned all too briefly in Northern New Mexico and we have family and heart ties to Western Colorado and Arizona. We lived in Georgia for many years, on a small farm where we gardened and raised animals and herbs. Born in smalltown Kansas, my life and times have been a diversified and greatly winding road of pilgrimage, seeking to receive an answer to the age old question, "What is Truth?" Through this long and often challenging quest, I arrived at the one answer given to the entire universe: The person of Christ. He is found in many places and manners, but is most clearly and fully understood within His Body and Bride, the Holy Orthodox Church, where the cutting edge of Christianity has lived since the day of Pentecost in 33 AD. Sinner that I am, may our loving Lord continue to lead each of us hungry pilgrims to the depths of who and what we were Created to become, through His mercy and grace. Step by step, I continue my journey, my pilgrimage, my road of prayer, relationships, failures, small victories and love... always and forever discovering the meaning of real beauty: the poems which we were intended to become; theosis within the infinate love of God. I am a long-time dabbler at poetry, gardening and many other things, including spinning and weaving. I love music, history, natural sciences and words. I love good books and good movies. This past summer, I began writing a work of historical fiction, set in Kievan Rus. This next summer, I hope to complete it.
