Goodbye, Dolly!

Glad to hear everyone is ok.
On this side of the Atlantic the months of July and August are always very quiet! Our storms begin in September or normally October, when your hurricanes track across the ocean towards us.

Thanks be to God for your safety.
Gracias a Dios todo esta bien, I was thinking about everyone of you when I was watching the news, I am going to try to call Fr. :)
Good to see you're alive and well!

I wouldn't mind some rain over here. It's hot, humid, muggy, and a ton of other words that would make this sentence longer than necessary. Maybe God will be merciful and send us some leftover rainclouds from down south.

I'm glad that the weather wasn't as severe as most news broadcasters reported. I was afraid for a moment. What part of the Rio Grande Valley are you from? I've lived in Edinburg.
It was pretty severe out on S. Padre, in Brownsville, Harlingen and such. Not as bad here, but bad enoungh! We're in Pharr, although my daughters go to UTPA up in Edinburg.
We were in that same situation until...very recently. Hadn't had (real) rain since last early autumn. It was bone dry and then some. Then, we got a little a week or so ago, and a bit more a few days before this "eventful event" and then - well, about 10 inches yesterday. Now the air will be hot, muggy and mosquito-laden...but at least what trees didn't topple or snap are well watered now!
Fortunately, this region hasn't had a "direct hit" for quite a few years. Hopefully, it won't again for some many more. It was the kind of excitement I can easily forego. But, thanks be to God, lives have been spared. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts! It's been quite a week for us.
Thank you, Lector Abraham! We need your prayers always! Father would love to hear from you. Gracias a Dios todo esta bien, indeed! Our love and best wishes to you.
Thank you, Catalina. It's been a rather wild ride, but thank God, we're all ok!

Wow I was thinking of you and TicTac and how you were doing with this storm! Gald you are OK and that your church wasn't damaged. We will get the end of the storm on Sat. and Sun. Just rain for us and I guess some wind etc. We can always use rain.
I saw that the residuals were heading your way. My dad is up in San Manuel right now, working on one of their rental properties. Maybe you'll have some lovely desert wild flowers compliments of Dolly!
We dien't get much rain...about 1/2 of an inch Sat. night...but it was good to get the rain. Why don't you come up and visit your dad...you could stay with me.
